Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
Re: Embracia Moonee Valley – Update on cases and some testing results.
We would like to update you on the progress of our residents with COVID-19. We have two residents now in hospital from our original five resident cases. These two residents remain in hospital under observation. The other two residents from the five cases remain in isolation at Embracia Moonee Valley in stable conditions.
Today we received a result from the testing that one more resident has tested positive to COVID-19. They are a resident on Kingston Town, however, today they were transferred into our Winx household, after consultation with their family, GP and the Commonwealth Department of Health. This resident is under observation and currently in a stable condition and residing in our Winx Household which now has additional staff, specifically for our 3 residents with COVID-19. We can confirm we have results back from all other residents from our Kingston Town household and all have returned a negative result.
Today’s update on the test results: From our total of 289 tests, we now have 280 results. We are still waiting for 4 resident results and 5 staff. We had one positive result (mentioned above) and all others were negative. We will again update you as the last results come in over the remainder of the weekend.
This afternoon, our team continued our daily meetings with the Commonwealth, DHHS, Quality Commission and the Public Health Unit. These meetings discuss each resident’s clinical health, any other residents with major health changes, staffing, stock, and equipment supply. Our team attend these meetings 7 days a week in an effort to ensure best practice and to keep everyone safe.
Please keep sending your hope and prayers through to us, as together we will get through this.
Kind regards and stay safe,
We provide exceptional aged care in an intimate community that feels like home.
