Dear Residents and Families,

Re: Good news for Embracia Reservoir – Temporary NO Visitor restriction has eased.

We have good news to share, following two days of ZERO cases for Victoria and it appears the East Preston cluster is under control, DHHS has advised us we can revert our previous visitation setup allowing each resident to have one visitor, once a day for up to 1 hour commencing from tomorrow – Wednesday 28th October. 

We are pleased to also advise that our staff who underwent asymptomatic testing yesterday all returned a NEGATIVE result to COVID-19.  Our staff will continue to be offered fortnightly asymptomatic testing at our home.

Reminder of Visitation criteria:

• One Visitor can now visit someone at an aged care facility for up to one hour, once a day and only visit in a resident’s room or outside.
• All visitor will be required to be temperature checked and complete an attestation.
• Any visitor to any care facility across Victoria must also wear a fitted face mask unless they have a lawful reason not to.
• You must have a current flu vaccination.
• providing end of life care to a resident of the facility is limited to two visitors at a time, with no limit on duration or number of visits
• a prospective resident of the facility may be accompanied by one other visitor only.

Any visitor who is unwell, is waiting for a coronavirus (COVID-19) test result or has been diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19) and not been cleared from self-isolation will not be allowed to visit.

We thank you all for your support and understanding over the past few days whilst you have been unable to visit your loved one inside our home.  We look forward to welcoming you back.  Please also keep booking your zoom call and window visits with our lifestyle team (lifestyleC@embraciavic.com.au) for those of you who have large families that cannot all visit each day.  Thank you again for working with us and for your ongoing support.
