Dear Resident and Families,
RE: Embracia Reservoir – Test results negative, but 8 yet to be completed
We are pleased to advise that all the test results we have received have returned a negative result. So, there are no cases of COVID-19 in these results. However, we are still waiting on the results of three residents and five staff. These results have been delayed due to the circumstances in the wider community and the demands this has placed on the laboratories. We have notified the residents’ families who have not received their results to date, but we expect to receive the results in the next day or two.
At this stage, the home will remain in lockdown and residents in Harmony will still be required to isolate in their rooms. In other households, residents are able to move about but remain in their own household. We are encouraging everyone to continue to practice good hygiene and social distancing. We have completed extensive cleaning and sanitisation throughout the home and continue to regularly clean and sanitise every day.
Although we are still unable to allow visitors, we encourage you to remain in contact with your loved ones. We have purchased additional portable devices so residents may utilise video chat services to keep in contact with families. Please contact our Lifestyle team via email (Lifestylec@embraciavic.com.au) to book a suitable time and they will assist residents with videoconferencing. We encourage you to utilise these alternative forms of communication during this lockdown time so everyone can keep in contact and feel less isolated. We also encourage families to deliver letters, cards, photos and other items and we will ensure the resident receives their care package.
