Embracia Reservoir COVID-19 progress

June 9, 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Re: Embracia Reservoir COVID-19 progress

We have completed all second round of testing with the majority of our staff and residents being tested on Sunday.  We had only 3 staff who were not able to attend Reservoir for testing, whom have been tested today.  Additionally, we had one resident return from hospital post Sunday who has also now been tested today, concluding all COVID-19 testing for our second round.  We can share with you that from Sunday’s testing, all results have returned a negative result for COVID-19 and we now only await results for the three staff and one resident who were tested today.  We expect their results tomorrow.

This is a very pleasing result and very promising.  Once we have the final 4 test results back, we will be guided by both State and Commonwealth authorities as to when our lockdown status ends.  We will share when we can return to our previous visitation rules under the current restrictions as soon as we know a date for ceasing lockdown.

Our staff have continued to practise the highest level of quality infection control protocol and have worked tirelessly with daily reporting and communication with the various government departments.  We cannot speak more highly of our management and staff teams.  Their passionate dedication and commitment to our residents and each other has been outstanding. They have endeavoured to meet the physical, social and emotional needs of our residents as well as keeping families, loved ones and the community connected.  We are truly grateful and proud of our Embracia team.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we now complete yet another hurdle in our lockdown journey.  Together we face this challenge, and together we will get through this.  We will update you as soon as the final results come in, however, at this stage it is all appearing encouraging with so many negative test results.  Keep following us on Facebook and Instagram pages, and our website for the latest information.

We cannot wait to welcome you back in to visit your loved one as soon as it is safe and authorised.  If you have any queries, please contact us so we may answer your concerns.

Kind regards
