Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
Re: Embracia Moonee Valley – More updates from testing
We wish to update you on the final results from Friday’s testing. We reported yesterday that from the results, there were no new positive cases, however, from the pending cases, some of which were only tested yesterday, we have one new positive case, and all others are negative. One of the negative results was a resident who had previously been positive to COVID-19 and they have now had their first negative result. This is our third resident to recover from COVID-19.
The resident who has tested positive has moved to Winx household, has mild symptoms and has been reviewed by their GP in conjunction with our clinical team. This resident was previously in Manikato household and we are currently working with the authorities on contact tracing. We had one staff member last week who worked in Manikato test positive but didn’t work in Winx with any of our resident with COVID-19, therefore, we believe their infection was acquired in the community. All residents across the home remain in isolation in their own rooms and staff remain in full PPE.
Our Staff were tested onsite on Saturday and we have received minimal results today, none have returned positive, but we still have a large number pending. Today we received clearance from yet another one of our staff who has recovered from COVID-19 and has DHHS clearance to return to work.
Please keep following our Facebook page, Instagram, and our website to keep up to date as we will continue to share photos of what is happening inside our home. Don’t forget to email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a phone call, zoom call or a window visit.
We provide exceptional aged care in an intimate community that feels like home.
