Dear Residents and Families,
Re: Embracia Aged Care – COVID-19 Circuit Breaker Restrictions
We regret to inform you that today the Victorian government announced that from 11.59pm tonight, no visitors are permitted into aged care homes. The only exception is for end-of-life reasons so please keep communicating with the managers of the home if this relates to your circumstance. In addition, non-essential contractors will not be permitted into the home during the lockdown.
This limitation on visitation is part of the government’s seven day “circuit breaker restrictions” imposed on Victoria today and we expect it to only last as long as the lockdown. In the meantime, we encourage you to remain in contact with your loved one by phone or electronic means.
As you may be aware, the COVID-vaccination program is underway for residents, and our staff are taking on the responsibility to be vaccinated too. These vaccinations are one of the most important means to protect our most vulnerable and each other. This lockdown is a timely reminder of the importance of vaccination against this highly contagious and dangerous virus. We strongly encourage all of you who are over the age of 40 to make the effort and get vaccinated to protect yourself, your family, and the broader community from this deadly virus.
Thank you for your understanding and we are keen to work with you to ensure we keep everyone protected, safe and healthy. If you are unsure regarding your circumstance for visitation, please call the home directly and speak with the management team.
We provide exceptional aged care in an intimate community that feels like home.
