Advice for visitors and staff in relation to the new restricted postcodes

July 3, 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Re: Advice for visitors and staff in relation to the new restricted postcodes

The current restricted postcodes do not include Reservoir or Avondale Heights however it does include some neighbouring suburbs. The restricted postcodes are: 3012, 3021, 3032, 3038, 3042, 3046, 3047, 3055, 3060 and 3064. Under the new restrictions there are only four reasons for people to leave their home: shopping for essential items and food, provide caregiving or seek medical treatment, exercise, work or study if it can’t be done from home.

We are discouraging visitors from these restricted postcodes except where the visits are for caregiving and compassionate reasons. Minimising your visits and visiting times may reduce any potential risk so we encourage all visitors, whether you reside within or outside restricted postcodes, to consider modifying their visits if it is possible.

Visitors and staff from the restricted postcodes, even if they are well, are encouraged to be tested. Workers and visitors who undergo asymptomatic testing are able to continue to work while they await their test results. Those who are symptomatic and have a test must not work and must stay at home while they await the results of their test.

Our usual screening process and temperature checks will remain in place and we remind everyone that if you are unwell please do not visit our homes and we encourage you to get tested.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

Sarah MacKenzie
