Organising your future

All our Embracia Retirement Villages have been designed for the ultimate in retirement living. Set in beautiful, idyllic locations, they really are magical places to call home.

Choosing when and where to retire is exciting but can be a little overwhelming as there are many options to consider. Thinking about how you want to live, the community you want to be involved in, and the activities you enjoy are all part of your decision.

Planning the next stage of your life is made easy with Embracia, as we understand quality living and lifestyle are what you deserve. Each of our Retirement Villages offers the highest quality lifestyle for active retirees, as well as access to care should you need it in the future.

Here’s a checklist of some common questions you may wish to consider when planning your perfect retirement:

Step 1: Quality vs Affordability.

It’s important to review your financial situation and to know how much you have to invest in your retirement. You should carefully consider, and discuss with loved ones, what your perfect balance of quality and affordability is – and pay special attention to the “must haves” on your list. There will be three main financial matters you will need to look into: the initial purchase price, the monthly service fees and the amount of your exit entitlement when you leave.

Step 2: Location, Location, Location.

Deciding where to live is probably one of the biggest steps to take.

It may be easy – as you may choose to live close to friends and family, or close to the suburb you are now living in. But there are also a number of ideal sea and tree change destinations to consider. The choice is yours!

Step 3: Timing is everything

Choosing when to move into a retirement villa and community is a completely personal decision. And it’s different for everyone. You may decide to move in now while you’re still working, so you can enjoy the extra luxuries and leisure facilities today, rather than wait. Or you may wish to plan ahead and start looking now, but not commit for a few years.

Step 4: How much space do you need?

When moving into a retirement village, many people choose to downsize from their big family home simply because it is easier to look after and keep tidy. Again, this is a personal choice. You may like to have an extra bedroom for the grandkids when they come and stay, or when family and friends from interstate come to visit. Our boutique villas have a range of wonderful options, with two or three bedroom options available.

Step 5: What are your “must have” facilities?

When thinking about retirement, what have you always dreamt of? Perhaps it’s having a swimming pool within walking distance for your morning swims. Or, would you like to lock up and leave your villa to travel around the country, with greater security and peace of mind? Whatever your dream, we’re sure to have the facilities to cater for you, right on your doorstep.
