Our Management Team
The management team that leads our 'extended family' are passionate in their commitment to the values and principles of the founding family members.
Peter MacKenzie, Chairman and Co-Founder
Peter is an Eden Alternative Associate and an Eden Mentor (one of only three in Australia) and has played key roles in the development of the aged care industry including participation in the Eden in Oz Board, and directorship of a National Peak body. Peter led the business as MD until becoming Chairman in 2005.

Dawn MacKenzie, Co-Founder and Advisor
Dawn has been involved in Aged Care for over 25 years and is passionate about creating a world where residents’ lives are worth living. She is a Registered Nurse Division 1, a qualified Auditor, has qualified in Dementia Care Mapping, and is an Eden Associate. Dawn is a chapter author of “Dementia Nursing: A Guide to Practice” and numerous articles in other Health Care Journals.
Michael Isaac LLB, General Manager Queensland
Michael joined Embracia in 2003 having been CEO of Queensland’s peak industry body (Aged Care Queensland) and is a respected identity in Aged Care throughout Australia and the driving force in bringing the Eden Alternative to Australia. Michael is an Eden Mentor (the second of only three in Australia) and remains committed to residents’ rights, freedoms and independence.

Sarah MacKenzie BSW GradDip (Business Studies), General Manager Victoria
Sarah, Peter and Dawn’s youngest daughter, has worked in Embracia since its foundation and is a qualified Social Worker,has a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, and an Eden Alternative Associate and Trainer. She is an international speaker and trainer presenting as far afield as New Zealand, UK, USA and Puerto Rico, and has also provided consulting and training to many aged care organisations in Australia. Sarah has trained in the USA under the personal tutelage of Dr Bill Thomas (founder of the Eden Alternative).
Allen Stevens, Operations Manager
Allen supports our aged care homes and retirement villages with skilled technical advice in the areas of Hotel Services to help us provide the highest quality living environment. He works alongside our architects, builders and suppliers to ensure that our products match the community’s high expectations and deliver the highest standard to those who use our services.
Anthony Palmieri, Chief Financial Officer
Anthony‘s skill as a qualified accountant provides a solid administrative foundation to the Embracia Group.
