a part of the community, not apart from it
Community is central to everything we believe in, and everything we do. Our homes and villages form an integral part of the communities they’re situated within – both our residents and staff are as committed as each other to supporting local groups, people and projects that strengthen and sustain communities.

Our community role
- Schools and Mothers Groups – we forge strong relationships with schools and have long been a regular meeting place for local Mothers Groups with mutual benefits for our residents and the community’s newest parents.
- Dementia support groups – we share our expertise in dementia through the community offering local support groups.
- Breast screening units – our facilities have been the venue for mobile breast screening units.

- Sheltered working – we make it a priority to provide roles suitable for those in our communities with disabilities, for example we offer a General Service Assistant (GSA) position in two of our homes where priority is given to people with an intellectual disability.
- Charity support – we love Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation and the Alannah and Madeleine Foundation and would be delighted if you would support them too!
