Peter MacKenzie Co-Founder and Chairman
Peter is an Eden Alternative™ Associate and an Eden Mentor (one of only three in Australia) and has played key roles in the development of the aged care industry including participation in the Eden in Oz Board, and directorship of a National Peak body. Peter led the business as MD until becoming Chairman in 2005.

Dawn MacKenzie Co-Founder and Advisor
Dawn has been involved in Aged Care for over 25 years and is passionate about creating a world where residents’ lives are worth living. She is a Registered Nurse, Qualified Auditor, Dementia Care Mapper, and is an Eden Alternative™ Associate.
Dawn is a chapter author of “Dementia Nursing: A Guide to Practice” and numerous articles in other Health Care Journals. Dawn is an experienced Interior Designer in aged care and retirement living.

Sarah MacKenzie General Manager Victoria
Sarah, Peter and Dawn’s youngest daughter, has worked in Embracia since its foundation and is a qualified Social Worker,has a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, and an Eden Alternative™ Associate and Trainer.
Sarah is an international speaker and trainer presenting as far afield as New Zealand, UK, USA and Puerto Rico, and has also provided consulting and training to many aged care organisations in Australia. Sarah has trained in the USA under the personal tutelage of Dr Bill Thomas (founder of the Eden Alternative™).
Sarah specialises in leadership, change management and team empowerment. Sarah has supported her team through acquisition and growth.

Michael Isaac General Manager Queensland
Michael joined Embracia in 2003 having been CEO of Queensland’s peak industry body (Aged Care Queensland) and is a respected identity in Aged Care throughout Australia and the driving force in bringing the Eden Alternative™ to Australia. Michael is an Eden Mentor (the second of only three in Australia) and remains committed to residents’ rights, freedoms and independence.

Anthony Palmieri Chief Financial Officer
Anthony joined Embracia in 2006 and has grown with Embracia to become our Chief Financial Officer. A qualified CPA, Anthony brings experience both in accounting practice and management accounting as well as strong leadership. Anthony has built and developed the finance team and plays a critical role in the ongoing growth of the Embracia group.’

Lilian Quitoriano Regional Manager (Northern)
Lilian has over 25 years aged care experience in both clinical and management roles. Lilian is a wise leader with expertise in empowerment and change management. She has led her team through growth and acquisition and with exciting times ahead as she continues to grow and empower her team as Embracia branches into Moonee Valley.
Lilian is a Registered Nurse who is also an Eden Alternative™ Associate and a qualified Dementia Care Mapper.

Susan Younger Regional Manager (Southern)
Susan Younger joined Embracia in 2007 entrusted with the role of building and establishing Embracia in Lynbrook, a newly built home. Susan surpassed all ambitions for this home and now Embracia in Lynbrook stands as a stunning contemporary home with an outstanding reputation. With these skills and many years of management and nursing experience gained both here and in the UK. Susan brings to the role of Southern Regional Manager, compassion for the aged and expertise in staff development.

Robert Colyer Operations Manager (Vic)
Robert brings to Embracia over 23 years experience in aged care. Having previously owned and operated his own facility in Coolaroo, Robert joined Embracia as he has known the MacKenzie Family since before they started in aged care and respects the way they operate.
Robert has a hands on approach and eye for detail and brings an exacting quality to all levels of facility management, creating a safe and luxurious environment for residents, staff and visitors.

Joining in 2011 Nicola brings to Embracia more than 15 years of experience in HR gained across Construction, IT, Healthcare and Retirement.
With a strong background in staff development and culture, Nicola’s role helps to creates opportunities for all staff within the Embracia family. Nicola’s role compliments the support available to the managers and staff of Embracia, assisting them in providing the best possible care for our residents.

Kate has been in and around aged care for over 25 years. As Peter and Dawn’s middle daughter she has experienced the growth and development of Embracia first hand.
With a Diploma in Business, experience in real estate marketing and copywriting as well as being an Eden Alternative™ Associate, Kate is well equipped to manage the Embracia marketing and PR team.

Vicki Colyer Student Development Manager
Vicki has a Diploma in Business, Health & Community, is an Eden Alternative™ Associate, Dementia Care Mapper and past owner of her own Aged Care facility. After many years in aged care, Vicki decided to share her knowledge and experience with students, volunteers and existing staff at Embracia.
Vicki comes to Embracia with a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that students understand the philosophy and person-centered care approach that helps students understand the soul of aged care. Vicki’s’ passion and dedication is admired by all.

Sam Bell Personal Assistant
As Personal Assistant, Sam Bell supports the Senior Management team at Embracia. Sam has more than 10 years experience in providing executive support, and has worked in the healthcare sector for 5 years. She holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Management and is an Eden Alternative™ Associate. Sam’s role is diverse and includes secretarial support, project coordination, event management and assisting the marketing and PR team. Sam is passionate about the Embracia philosophy of care, and works closely with our managers to ensure the head office team supports each home to provide the best care and lifestyle for our residents.
